Every well run project needs the right facilities to ensure a positive working environment, At Avondale interiors we ensure each project we undertake is resourced with the correct facilities for our workforce and visitors, we mandate a specific industry approved standard which is implemented across all of our construction sites.
The welfare of our staff and visiting contractors is of primary importance to us, a well run construction site considers the welfare of each individual, the construction industry can be an incredibly stressful environment and we recognise the importance of having good facilities on site that are well maintained and user friendly. This benefits productivity and onsite moral. Our site welfare facilities provide a comfortable location where our team can eat their lunch, have a coffee break and re-charge for the work ahead.
Every construction site needs safe zones, areas within the site that are controlled through the appropriate access control measures, security and signage, allowing for non-working personal the clients or other third parties to visit the site without finding themselves in a potentially hazardous area. Under the current CDM legislation, we will ensure we incorporate into our site logistics’ plan several safe zones. These areas within the construction site are typically, The Site Office Welfare Area Smoking Zone Mobile Phone Area. These areas are deemed to be safe zones away from the construction areas.
Waste management and recycling is an important consideration for every project, Avondale Interiors is focused on reducing waste and moving towards a 100% carbon neutral footprint. To mitigate the harmful effects waste has our our environment, so with each project we undertake we create a waste management plan, a strategy for managing, handling and disposing of waste in a sustainable and responsible manor. This process is fully auditable and measurable with accurate reporting helping us to achieve our goal of diverting 100% of non-hazardous waste from landfill
Our site team and management all hold the correct credentials, and industry required certifications needed in the event of an emergency, we maintain a skills and certifications matrix to ensure all accreditations and certifications are up-to-date, valid and appropriate. For each project we undertake we develop a bespoke emergency management plan, recorded under the "Construction Phase Plan" this provides a planned process for managing emergency situations, through strong leadership and inherent training our site teams are ready for any eventuality or emergency that may occur.
